The Ma’ayanot students took a trip to Broadway this week! They first went to MTC Creative Center in Manhattan to participate in a drama and improv workshop, which was thoughtful and creative. It prepared the students to think about the context, craft and ideas of the play they were about to see, “A Prayer for the French Republic” at New York City Center.
Following five generations of a French Jewish family, “A Prayer for the French Republic” is a sweeping look at history, home and the effects of an ancient hatred.
This powerful world premiere comes from acclaimed Playwright Joshua Harmon and Director David Cromer, a Tony Award winner for “The Band’s Visit.”
