It was an exciting, challenging and inspiring two days of G Squared, Grade Games, in the Moriah middle school last week. With a special Moriah Purim parody of “We don’t talk about Haman” for break out, the competition began between Team Achdut (eighth grade),blue; Team Nissim (seventh grade), yellow; and Team Simcha (sixth grade),white. On Thursday, the students arrived in full team gear and were ready for the day’s teamwide competitions, which included the Shushan Sibling Showdown, Chidon, a special Purim edition of Blooket and a Lip Sync Battle. On Friday, the programming picked up right where it left off, with a spirited scavenger hunt, grogger competition and Israeli Day Parade shirt design. During the final ceremony, teams presented their own team theme-related Purim masks, divrei Torah, Purim through social media presentations, videos and live performances of stomps and songs. After an exciting, intense and jam-packed two days—both Team Simcha and Team Achdut put up a good fight—but in the end, it was Team Nissim that tallied the most points and earned the title of Moriah G Squared 2022 winners.
