It has been a fun and exciting Adar at the JEC! In keeping with the theme of the year, each day from Rosh Chodesh Adar Bet until Shushan Purim, is dedicated to a different aspect of kavod, respect. Students celebrated Yom Kavod Haguf V’haneshama, Yom Kavod Yisrael, Yom Kavod Ha’aretz and so much more. Students came dressed as farmers ready for fun and meaningful programming on Yom Kavod Ha’aretz-Yom Shemittah. Leket Israel came to present to first through eighth graders. They learned about this amazing organization and how the shemittah year impacts their work. Early childhood students enjoyed a presentation from “Eyes of the Wild,” where they met different types of animals and learned about their habitats. Everyone enjoyed mock Shabbos-l’kavod Shabbos kodesh, a yom chssed and so many more programs leading up to Shushan Purim. Chag sameach!
