RYNJ Seventh Grade Basketball Team Captures First-Ever Championship

Sunday was a magical and memorable day that will be etched into the record books. As the seventh grade RYNJ Jaguars prepared to face Ramaz in the championship game, their anticipation and hope to bring the trophy home to the middle school boys, would soon become a reality. The Shacharis in Yeshiva was powerful, and several players stayed behind in shul afterwards to recite Tehillim. After a morning of Torah learning, they headed to TABC with high spirits. With a near impenetrable defense, relentless rebounding, cohesive ball movement and just remarkable clutch shooting, their unbreakable teamwork was on full display. They were sensational to watch and a pleasure to cheer on by countless family members and friends. It was a thrilling game, and both teams played with heart and passion. With Coach Van’s vision and leadership along with the dedicated inspiration of ACE, assistant coach Engel, the Jaguars wrote history in bringing a title to RYNJ. What a special moment for the players, families and school!
