On Friday April 1, Manhattan Day School opened its doors to grandparents and special visitors for a wonderful intergenerational learning event called Spring into Shemitah.
Featuring the Jewish educational organization Grow Torah, the Spring into Shemitah event provided a hands-on learning opportunity exploring the laws and themes of Shemitah. MDS students and their grandparents planted micro greens while hearing from Grow Torah instructors.
For grandparents and special visitors this event was a very special and meaningful opportunity to connect and learn with their grandchildren. At MDS, both formally and informally, the love and respect students have for their grandparents is showcased and celebrated!
