MTA talmidim, rebbeim and faculty had a blast during Color War last week! Seniors dominated as the blue team with a theme of gibor k’ari; Juniors crushed it as the red team with a theme of rutz k’zvi; Sophomores fought hard as the green team with a theme of kal k’nesher; And freshmen experienced their first-ever MTA Color War as the black team with a theme of az k’namer. The entire two days were jam-packed with a wide range of exciting activities, games and competitions, giving every talmid a chance to shine and contribute their unique talents to their teams. From choir, banner presentations, hallway decorating, divrei Torah, chesed challenges and yediyos klaliyos competitions to an apache relay, quadathlon, Ultimate Frisbee, quiz bowl, Chopped, STEM challenge, Ping-Pong and sports tournaments, there was truly something for everyone to participate in. The learning doesn’t stop at MTA—not even for Color War! Each day began with shiur, because at MTA, Torah always comes first. Color War culminated with an incredible yeshiva-wide kumzitz, bringing everyone together to celebrate the achievements of each team. Talmidim had many opportunities to take on leadership roles within their teams and promote the extreme sense of achdus that was felt throughout Color War. Rebbeim and faculty members enjoyed working with their assigned teams and contributing to the energetic atmosphere.
“Watching each grade work together as a team and seeing the achdus among all of our talmidim, regardless of whether or not they were competing against each other, was inspiring and a true testament to the strength of our yeshiva community,” said Dean of Student Life Rabbi Danny Konigsberg. “There’s nothing like the incredible ruach and energy at MTA, which are especially palpable during Color War. Congratulations to the seniors on their win and yasher koach to all of our talmidim for making us so proud and creating such a memorable experience!”
