On June 1st, SAR Girls Varsity Softball, the 4th-seed in the East division, defeated undefeated Bruriah, the West’s top seed, by a score of 11-2.
In the first inning, the Sting scored five runs on eight hits, which included a home run from sophomore Dahlia Fischer and a double from sophomore Jessica Hecht. SAR was stellar defensively, completing a double play, a cut off throw for an out at third, and a run-down out. Junior pitcher Yona Feit had six strikeouts and went 3-4 with 2 RBI’s.
This game was a team effort, with everyone playing so well and contributing to the great win.
