Sam Heller of Teaneck Joins Daughters of Miriam Center Board

Clifton—The Board of Trustees of Daughters of Miriam Center/The Gallen Institute announced the appointment of Sam Heller to the Board at their recent annual trustees dinner.

Heller brings valuable expertise to the Board as a result of his position at the Visiting Nurse Service of New York where he serves as the Senior Vice President and CFO. In his position, Heller is responsible for the financial operations, materials management, endowment, and real estate of this $2 billion home health care, long-term care, and managed care company—the largest non-profit home health care company in the country. He provides overall direction and guidance for financial operations, contract negotiations, third-party reimbursement, cash management, mergers & acquisitions, portfolio management, budget and general accounting, and corporate risk.

Sam Heller has an MBA from Baruch College. He also serves on the board and finance committee of the National Association for Home Care and Hospice, a non-profit organization that represents those who need or provide home health and hospice services. Heller regularly speaks at conferences on finance, investment, and health care issues.

A resident of Teaneck, Heller is married to the former Shonnie Rothken. They have five children and two grandchildren. He is a member of Congregation Netivot Shalom in Teaneck, where he also serves on their board of trustees.
