The Teaneck Volunteer Ambulance Corps (TVAC) kicked off Breast Cancer Awareness Month on at their headquarters on October 1, with representatives of Gilda’s Club. TVAC members will be wearing pink shirts instead of the usual navy blue to raise awareness in the community and honor those near and dear. There are members who are Breast Cancer survivors, have family members who are survivors or who have lost their battle, but fought to the end. TVAC members will wear the pink shirts during the entire month of October. Gilda’s Club is a place where people share their experiences and help others, because no one should go through cancer alone.
