Last week Ma’ayanot had its first game of the season against Kushner. The first half was a seriesof back and forth baskets from both teams with a 1st quarter of 7-6, Kushner. Senior Forward Shoshana Marder had the first point at the line with a foul shot. The 2nd quarter sparked a run for the Rapids as it put away 20 points in 8 minutes. Point Guard Adina Rosenberg and Guard Nachama Stern both knocked down 8 points each and had help with aggressive boards from Chaya Robinson and Amanda Solomon with a putback each. The half ended in a score of 26-17.

The 2nd half started with Kushner pushing back with 11 points in the 3ird quarter and just 10 from Ma’ayanot–8 from Rosenberg again. Finally, during the 4rth quarter, the Rapids pulled into the lead with 17 more points coming from Rosenberg, Gabi Lerner, Stern, Guard Rachel Sheinwexler, and Robinson. Final score 54/45, Ma’ayanot wins.
