JKHA MS/RKYHS had an exciting, fun and meaningful Chanukah, complete with programming intended to teach and inspire. The week began with the school’s inaugural Yom Chesed–a day in which HS students were divided into groups and sent to a variety of locations to perform acts of chesed and community service. The fun continued with their first ever black light dodgeball game, and a special performance by Nissim, a hip-hop artist who recently headlined YU’s annual Chanukah concert. To further celebrate, students sang and danced at a chagigah, supplemented with sufganiyot and other treats. The celebrations concluded with a sophomore lunch and learn program with the Middle School, and a performance by Eric Wilzig, a renowned magician who has appeared on America’s Got Talent.
