Elizabeth—On Thursday, in celebration of 4B’s review and recitation of over 13,000 Mishnayos, and 5B’s mastering the challenge of the shakla v’tarya (give and take) of the Gemara, the two classes traveled to Lakewood for a day of fun and learning. Upon departure from the JEC, the bus transformed into a mobile Bais Hamedrash, as all of the boys learned for at least 20 minutes.
Arriving at the pizza store for an early lunch, the boys enjoyed pizza, fries and soda. The proprietor of the store commented to the rebbeim about how well-behaved the boys were in his restaurant. He added that it was refreshing for him to see how beautifully they cleaned up after themselves.
They then traveled to the Lakewood Matza Bakery to learn about the process of matza baking. They even received free fresh samples to whet their appetites for the upcoming Pesach, only seven weeks away! Afterwards, a trip to the Gingerbread House for candy was in order. The trip concluded at FunTime America for games, rides, laser tag and prizes.
Thanks to Mr. Yudi Abraham and Mr. Amir Besterman for chaperoning the trip.
