The National Merit Scholarship Qualifying competition for the class of ’15 is now complete, and once again YUHSB has placed a student among the finalists. Asher Finkelstein, a Memphis native, was recognized by National Merit as one of the most outstanding students in the country. Only 15,000 finalists are chosen each year out of more than 1 million juniors who took the PSAT.

In qualifying as a National Merit Scholarship Finalist, Asher scored in the top 1% of PSAT test takers a year ago, and then followed that up with equally impressive SAT scores and grades. He also received the recommendation of his teachers here at YUHSB.
