A Father’s Journey to Find Peace in the Middle East

The Israel Support Committee of Central New Jersey invites you to come and hear Stephen Flatow’s story of a father’s journey to find peace in the Middle East.

In 1994, Flatow’s 23-year-old daughter, Alisa, was murdered by Palestinian terrorists while spending a semester in Israel. To obtain justice from Iran, who financed the attack, Flatow fought multiple battles against the State Department, the Justice Department, the courts and some of Europe’s largest banks until achieving victory. Flatow will share his experiences and what he learned about peace in the Middle East.

This talk will be held on Sunday, January 28, at 2 p.m. at Temple Emanu-El, located at 756 E. Broad Street in Westfield. It is open to the public. Light refreshments will be provided. A donation of $5 is suggested.

The Israel Support Committee of Central New Jersey represents Chabad of Union County, Congregation Anshe Chesed of Linden, Congregation Beth Israel of Scotch Plains, Congregation Israel of Springfield, Temple Beth El/Mekor Chayim of Cranford, Temple Beth O’r/Beth Torah of Clark, Temple Emanu-El of Westfield, Temple Sholom of Scotch Plains, and Union County Torah Center of Westfield. The committee’s mission is to disseminate information about issues affecting Israel and to provide support for the people and the state of Israel.
