The article “Proud Highland Park Mom Reports on Son’s ‘Beret Journey’ in IDF” by Lisa Geller (Nov. 14, 2024) was a wonderful article. What initially caught my attention was the name Highland Park in the title. However as I kept reading, I realized it had a more universal message and could have been written by any parent about any child anywhere in the world.

I pray that Lisa continues to have much nachas from her son Avi, and that he continues to serve with distinction, and above all safely, during the rest of his tour in the IDF.
