The coronavirus pandemic has changed almost everything about our lives, and everyone has a different story to tell. Obviously there are the tragic stories of death and suffering. But there are other stories, of simchas postponed, special events canceled and milestones altered.

Our graduates, who have long awaited the moment when they would walk down the aisle surrounded by family and friends, have had formal graduation ceremonies taken from them this year, yet they deserve to be recognized in a manner commensurate with their achievements. Similarly, our loved ones celebrating bar and bat mitzvahs, weddings, birthdays and other simchas should have these occasions honored as the true milestones they are.
