A Special Kind of Summer

While many parents often struggle with the seven to 10-day gap between the end of summer programs and the commencement of the new school year, parents of children with special needs find this period especially challenging.

For the seventh year running, Friendship Circle of Passaic County is offering the much-anticipated end-of-summer camp program for children with special needs. Directed by a special education teacher, each camper will be paired with a teen volunteer who will share in the smiles, laughter and fun of a busy day. These days include music, crafts, baking, outside play, chalk art, paint projects, parachute play as well as a visit from a music specialist, art specialist and yoga teacher!

Friendship Circle Summer Camp will run August 26, through August 30, 9:30 a.m. through 2:30 p.m. The cost is $25 per day and includes a nut-free lunch. New this year is a special division for our young adults (ages 16+) doing activities geared for this age group. Camp is held at The Chabad Center, 194 Ratzer Road, Wayne. If you would like to volunteer at camp or are interested in participating in our Summer Camp 2019, please phone us at 973 694-4970 or check our website at fcpassaiccounty.com and “like” us on Facebook at Friendship Circle of Passaic County.
