Academies at GBDS Kindergarten class joined together with their families for their first in-person family program of the year, Shema L’Mishpacha. Although school has been in session in person since August 31, the children were thrilled to come back to school in the evening…dressed in pajamas. The kindergartners, along with their families, engaged in interactive activities that included decorating their own mezuzah cases and special dubonim (teddy bears). Parents were glowing with pride as they watched the children recite the bedtime Shema and sing beautiful songs. The evening closed with the children saying “laila tov” to their very own class butterflies which was a culmination of their science unit on the metamorphosis of a caterpillar to butterfly.
