The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) honored Ralph A. Larossa, president of the Public Service Enterprise Group (PSE&G), New Jersey’s oldest and largest regulated gas company, at its annual New Jersey gala, which was held on October 21 at the Liberty House in Jersey City. Larossa was honored with the ADL Americanism Award in recognition of his positive impact in the business and philanthropic community.
The gala was hosted by the League’s Regional Board Chair, Ross Pearlson. ADL National Director Jonathan Greenblatt was the keynote speaker.
Larossa’s colleagues Beth Acquaire, Eric Martinez, Scott Mclain and Joe Signorello, who represent the appliance service, customer operations, delivery projects, construction and electronic operations divisions, were also honored for their work in the community to ensure equality, fairness and respect for all. The gala also featured the presentation of the Sidney Wilf Distinguished Leadership Award to Lance J. Kalik, partner and co-chair of the insurance and reinsurance practice group Riker Danzig Schrer Hyland & Perretti LLP. The award honors young leaders in business, community affairs and charitable endeavors who have attained the pinnacle of success in their chosen fields while providing influence and inspiration for positive change in the community.
“I am truly honored to receive such an acknowledgment from ADL, and excited to be able to work alongside this organization to advocate on issues I care so deeply about,” said Larossa. “It is also heartwarming to see that some of my colleagues…recognized for their exceptional work in making our community a better place.”
“Whether it is his philanthropic involvement with local organizations making an impact within the greater New Jersey community, or his outstanding career at PSE&G, Ralph has truly made an impact,” said Abraham H. Foxman, ADL National Director Emeritus, who gave remarks and presented the award.
“The ADL Americanism Award was established to honor exceptional individuals who exemplify the noble ideals and democratic values of the United States of America and of ADL,” said Joshua Cohen, ADL New Jersey Regional Director. “Ralph joins an impressive list of past honorees recognized for their leadership in business, community affairs, and philanthropic endeavors who have distinguished themselves in their dedication to preserving liberty and advancing the causes of mutual respect, dignity and equality.”
