Age Friendly Teaneck has announced an opportunity for a paid summer internship as a way to educate and encourage students to consider elder care as a career path. The organization will hold its fourth four-week Career Exploration Internship for four outstanding and motivated rising high school juniors or seniors (Teaneck residents) this summer starting July 10. Each student will receive a $1,000 stipend.
The internship combines a dynamic curriculum, real-world experience and one-on-one connections with professionals in the fields of geriatric-related social work, geriatric wellness, technology, home care, recreation, food service, housing, elder law and business management. Interns will be supervised by a team of seasoned and knowledgeable professionals.
The deadline to apply for these positions is May 19.
