Ahavath Torah Annual Dinner Planned for June 20th

Congregation Ahavath Torah is pleased to announce that their 2013 Annual Dinner will take place Thursday evening, June 20, 2013 at 6:30 p.m. at Congregation Ahavath Torah. This year’s Guests of Honor are Lori and Harry Reidler. The Reidlers, parents of four grown children, have been residents of Englewood for 28 years. Harry is an attorney with a nationwide real estate practice and was, for a long time, a member of our Board. He has represented the shul and its clergy on various matters, including its recent refinancing, and is currently representing the shul on the Mikvah Project. Harry also currently serves on the Englewood Board of Adjustment and the Englewood Democratic Municipal Committee, and provides pro bono legal services to other religious organizations. Lori has been involved in projects on behalf of the shul and the wider community, including the Englewood Library and Englewood Hospital.

The Young Leadership Award recipients are Ellen and Todd Brody, Englewood residents since 1996, have loved watching their children, Benjamin and Casey grow up in the Congregation Ahavath Torah community.  Todd is Senior Trial Counsel at the Securities & Exchange Commission.  He has been on the Synagogue’s Board of Trustees for over ten years and has served as the Gabbai of the auxiliary minyan for the last four years.  Todd has been leading all-night Shavuot learning programs for Benjamin and his friends at the shul for the last several years, and enjoys bringing his own brand of enthusiasm for every Jewish holiday to the greater Englewood community. Ellen is a partner at Roberts & Holland LLP.  She served on the shul’s Constitution Committee and has chaired numerous events at The Moriah School. She is Treasurer and a member of the Board of Directors of the Gift of Life Bone Marrow Foundation.
