On Monday November 14 at 10:30 a.m., The Metropolitan Museum of Art will showcase a special landmark exhibition of over 200 works of art and artifacts that support the key role of Jerusalem, “The Holy City,” which was the home to people of diverse cultures, religions and languages for the time period of 1000 to 1400.
Through this period and times of peace and war, Jerusalem remained a constant destination and inspiration that resulted in art of great beauty.
Sheryl Intrator Urman, artist, curator and art lecturer, will present an overview of the themes as well as key artwork featured in the exhibition.
Following a delicious brunch, participants will travel by comfortable bus to the Metropolitan Museum of Art to visit at their own pace using an audio guide of the exhibition.
The couvert is $48 for brunch, Urman’s lecture, transportation and museum visit. Cost is
$15 for brunch and lecture only.
