Alina Gerlovin Spaulding to Keynote JFS of Passaic Clifton’s Volunteer Recognition Dinner

The Jewish Family Service and Children’s Center of Passaic-Clifton (JFS) will be holding its annual Volunteer Recognition Dinner and end of the year meeting on Wednesday, June 17th at the Adas Israel, 565 Broadway, Passaic. This years’ keynote speaker is Alina Gerlovin Spaulding, who recently delivered the closing remarks at the Association of Jewish Family and Children’s Agencies (AJFCA) conference in Miami, to a standing ovation. In 1979, at age 5, Spaulding successfully immigrated with her family to the United States, with the help of the JFS of Clifton/Passaic after many difficult years spent in the Soviet Union. Once in Passaic, the JFS community became vital to the survival of the Gerlovin family. Now a successful consultant on development strategies and an internationally acclaimed public speaker on philanthropy, Ms. Spaulding continuously attributes her accomplishments in the United States to the start she was given by the many volunteers of JFS. JFS of Clifton-Passaic’s Executive Director, Esther East, said, “We are very excited to welcome Ms. Spaulding back to Passaic, to inspire our volunteers, board and staff to continue all that they do.” At the annual volunteer recognition event, JFS pays tribute to the continued volunteerism from within the community. These volunteers ensure that JFS can reach its mission of providing support and relief to the community at large. JFS Clifton-Passaic can be reached at 973-777-7638 and on the web at www.jfsclifton.org.
