RKYHS students had a blast volunteering and making new friends at Friendship Circle’s Allie’s Camp at the unique and expansive Lifetown facility all week. Each day for the full week a different grade at RKYHS volunteered with the camp for children with special needs. Students ran the shops in Lifetown, a recreated town that teaches life skills to those with special needs, swam with Friendship Circle participants in the zero entry pool, engaged in the sensory gym, and enjoyed crafts and other activities together. Friendship Circle provides critical support to special needs families throughout the whole year, and RKYHS students were happy to be able to give back during Chanukah to an organization that gives so much during the year.
