Students at the Jewish Educational Center’s Rav Teitz Mesivta Academy were treated to a discussion on the laws of shmittah by Rav Binyomin Zimmerman of the Halacha Education Center in Alon Shvut Israel, under the leadership of Rav Yosef Tzvi Rimon.

Rabbi Zimmerman is the author of a prominent shmittah workbook, currently being used throughout Israel and the United States to teach students about these special mitzvot.

RTMA is pleased to continue and expand its relationship with the Halacha Education Center, and is already using their text for its kashrut curriculum, with hopes to add subjects like hilchot Shabbat next year.
