(Courtesy of AFSP) As part of May’s mental health awareness month, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention spent the day in the New Jersey State house sharing information about how to prevent suicide, destigmatize mental illness and increase mental-health awareness.
More than 30 New Jersey legislators and representatives of the New Jersey Governor Murphy administration stopped by the table of informational material in the New Jersey State Legislature last Thursday.
Co-chaired by AFSP field advocates Wendy Sefcik of Montville (a New Jersey AFSP board member) and Eta Levenson of West Orange, this event was extremely successful and impactful.
