AMIT Modi’in Boys’ Robotics Team Wins Second Place in International Competition

(Courtesy of AMIT) The robotics team from the Mr. and Mrs. Lester Sutker AMIT Modi’in School for Boys came in second place in the First Lego League (FLL) international competition held in Estonia last week.

The team, known as the Kipa Bots, competed against teams from more than 100 countries around the world. They won the mechanical planning category of the competition, one of the more significant parts of the contest.

This win builds on the Modi’in boys’ team’s prior successes at three international robotics competitions in recent years, including winning first place two years ago in South Africa. The team consists of seventh- and eighth-grade students who are mentored by juniors and seniors from the school.

The AMIT Modi’in delegation to Estonia also hosted the other Israeli teams at the competition for Shabbat dinner, making it an enjoyable experience for all.

AMIT is leading the educational revolution in Israel with cutting-edge Jewish values-based education. It was named the leading educational network by Israel’s Ministry of Education.
