Apple Bank Announces Further Expansion in NJ

(Courtesy of Apple Bank) Apple Bank has announced plans to open a new branch in Lakewood in early 2025 as part of the bank’s move to expand its geographic footprint. The branch will be located at 140 East Kennedy Boulevard. The bank also announced the hiring of John Crisafulli, who will serve as the Lakewood branch’s business relationship manager.

The Lakewood branch will be Apple Bank’s third location in the state, joining Englewood and Iselin. The bank’s branch network includes 80 locations in the Greater New York area, including Manhattan, Brooklyn, the Bronx, Queens, Staten Island, Long Island, Westchester, Rockland and New Jersey.

“Our expansion into Lakewood perfectly exemplifies both our business strategy and mission,” said Jim Matera, chief retail banking officer at Apple Bank. “Adding a branch in Lakewood is a natural extension of our footprint and allows us to better serve New Jersey residents and business owners, particularly those who work and do business in New York City and already bank with Apple Bank.”

As part of the Bank’s expansion into the New Jersey market, Apple Bank hired John Crisafulli, a seasoned veteran with over 25 years of experience in the community banking space. Crisafulli joins from First Commerce Bank, where he was a vice president and senior business development officer. Over the last decade, Crisafulli has primarily worked in the Lakewood area.

“It is a great pleasure to join Apple Bank and help lead its newest branch in Lakewood,” said Crisafulli. “We look forward to building long-term relationships within the community and playing our part as a good corporate citizen in this incredible community. I’m inspired by Apple Bank’s ability to bring a wide array of banking services with a personalized, local bank connection, and I am confident that this approach will serve Lakewood residents and business owners as well.”
