(Courtesy of Apple Bank) Apple Bank has announced that its new branch located at 140 East Kennedy Boulevard in Lakewood, New Jersey, will open on Monday, April 28. This is the Bank’s latest location supporting its New Jersey expansion.
“The Lakewood branch reflects the Bank’s continuing commitment to serving the Jewish community in New Jersey, one in which the Bank is already deeply embedded and knows well through its many locations in Brooklyn and the greater New York area,” stated Jim Matera, senior executive vice president and chief retail banking officer at Apple Bank.
The Lakewood branch will offer a full selection of consumer, commercial and small-business banking products, as well as certain non-deposit investment products and services, and is led by bankers who live in and understand the community.
The Bank’s expansion into Lakewood is supported by three veteran bankers from the area. John Crisafulli, a seasoned business relationship manager with over 25 years of experience in community banking, joined in October 2024 from First Commerce Bank, where he was a vice president and senior business development officer, serving businesses in the Lakewood area.
In anticipation of the Bank’s official opening of its branch, Crisafulli stated: “It has been a pleasure working with the community of Lakewood for the last several months introducing Apple Bank and the services they have to offer. Having spent many years serving the Lakewood Community, I am pleased to be a part of Apple Bank’s expansion into this area of New Jersey.”
Allan Wagner, previously with M&T Bank, also joined Apple Bank in March of this year as the Branch Manager for the new location. Wagner brings with him over 20 years of dedicated service to consumers and small businesses in the area. Also joining in February of this year, from Fulton Bank, is Assistant Branch Manager Lowell Edwards. He joined the leadership team in February 2025. Edwards has a solid financial industry background in banking and insurance with over 14 years in leadership roles. He will bring his vast knowledge and experience of the Lakewood community to deliver exceptional customer service to the new branch.
In describing the design of the new facility, Mitch Jacobs, executive vice president, director of corporate real estate, noted: “The new branch facility offers a very welcoming environment for our customers and reflects our continued commitment to sustainable design, using eco-friendly materials to create space that delivers exceptional customer service and privacy in a digitally forward banking environment.”
Following the branch’s opening on April 28, the Bank invites the local Lakewood community to come together for a Grand Opening Ribbon-Cutting Celebration on Monday, May 12 at 10:30 a.m., where attendees can join us for refreshments and connect with the Lakewood branch team as well as other Apple Bank executives. At the celebration, one lucky guest will be selected to win a $500 gift certificate to Bordeaux Lakewood.
