Yitzchok Isaac Unger, a trained electronics technician, has found his place in Passaic through his company, Appliance Repair and More LLC. Unger and his company provide a reliable solution to a multitude of appliance-related issues, serving customers in Passaic and surrounding counties.
Unger started his career in the copier industry before transitioning to home appliances and still uses those skills. “The company provides repairs of major home appliances and office machines,” Unger explained in an interview with The Jewish Link. “The main core of the business is with machines like ovens, refrigerators, dishwashers, washers and dryers; however, I also repair laser copiers, printers, fax machines and even vacuum cleaners.” Because he is gifted at working with his hands, as well as understanding how machines operate, he is capable of fixing many makes and models of a large variety of machines.
In addition to the labor and service he provides, Unger makes sure that his customers have “a pleasant and affordable experience.” He has learned how much the Jewish community relies on properly functioning appliances.
“I appreciate the role of appliances in a bustling Jewish home especially before a Shabbos, Yom Tov or family simcha,” Unger said. “I understand the stress that would ensue if someone was out of a working appliance during these hectic times, and appreciate the urgency of needing it fixed right away. I strive to accommodate that. I find it especially gratifying when I help bring calm into the homes of my customers.”
Unger began his company roughly three years ago and operates it alongside his wife. He said helping people makes his job worthwhile, and maybe alleviates just a tiny bit of stress in their lives. “I recall an incident where I got an urgent call from a father with a newborn,” Unger said. “Evidently, his wife had very efficiently packed her freezer with food in anticipation of the birth. One can only imagine the frenzy when their freezer unexpectedly broke soon after the baby was born. It was such a privilege to be able to help them, knowing it was helping their transition run smoothly, while restoring their inner peace.”
Appliance Repair And More LLC is currently accepting calls from people in need of repairs, both minor and major. Reach Unger at (973) 362-5567, or send him an email at [email protected].
