Whippany—Archie Gottesman, co-founder of the website JewBelong, will talk about how we each follow our own path toward connecting with our Judaism as the featured speaker at this year’s Women’s Awareness Day, sponsored by Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest NJ’s Women’s Philanthropy. The event will be held on Wednesday, April 5, at 9:30 a.m. at the Alex Aidekman Family Jewish Community Campus in Whippany.
Ms. Gottesman knows a thing or two about branding. For 20 years she was the voice behind the iconic, witty advertising for Manhattan Mini Storage, her family’s business. In recent years she has turned that marketing know-how toward a subject she is extremely passionate about—how to inspire and excite people about Judaism through JewBelong.com. “Our Judaism should continuously fill us with joy, warmth and meaning…” she said. “How amazing would it be if disengaged Jews saw their Judaism as a gift, and as something that will add beautiful connections in their lives?”

In addition to her work in marketing, Ms. Gottesman, along with her family, is an active leader in the community. She currently sits on the board of Foundation for Jewish Camp and the Women’s Board of the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC), among other philanthropic work. She and her husband live in Summit.
“Women’s Awareness Day is always a meaningful way to spend a morning, connecting with old friends, making new ones and learning something new with engaging speakers. I can’t wait to learn more about Archie’s innovative approach to doing Jewish,” said event co-chair Jamie Ramsfelder.
