What do Picasso, Matisse, Warhol, Rousseau, Lichtenstein, Chihuly, Onomatopoeia, Fashion Week and New Jersey Stamps have in common? These all provided creative inspiration for the students at Rabbi Pesach Raymon Yeshiva in Edison, New Jersey.
On Wednesday evening, April 6, RPRY families were greeted by a rousing splash of color reminiscent of “Joseph’s Technicolor Dream Coat.” The Impressionists, the Expressionists, the Fauves, the Op and Pop artists of art history were among the many whose styles were represented at the Annual RPRY Art Show. Parents, grandparents and friends of RPRY had an intimate look at, and a first-hand understanding of how art blossoms across the grades, engages all learners and integrates throughout the curriculum.
Art teacher Debby Waldman coordinated the show of the BPY budding artists.
