ASHAR’s first annual State Fair Road Trip was an incredible collaborative effort. Each student was assigned a state and researched the major attractions to create a brochure enticing visitors. Students also researched the politics, geography, demographics and history of their state. Students used time in art class to create visual displays in the form of snowglobes and buttons representing the state. They drew postcards, banners, and creatively designed games, costumes, or other props. Teachers, students and parents worked together to create a visually appealing, educationally challenging event.
