At Bruriah, ‘ICan’ Is More Than Just a Slogan

A recent mother-daughter learning for Bruriah’s junior high, held in conjunction with the JEC’s general Yom Iyun in memory of its founder and Gadol B’Yisrael HaRav Pinchas Mordechai Teitz zt’l, reminded students that, for them, the sky is the limit and that all achievements, big or small, ought to be recognized and celebrated. Entitled “iCan: Small Action, Big Impact,” the morning program explored the concepts of believing in oneself, developing healthy levels of self-confidence and self-worth, and understanding how one’s actions are powerful and wield influence. “Through multi-media presentations, collaborative activities, a beautiful project, a talk by guest speaker Mrs. Shuli Fuchs, and student performances and presentations, everyone left feeling inspired,” said Mrs. Zehava Greenwald, Bruriah’s junior high coordinator. “A big thank you to Ms. Bracha Leah Bernstein for all of her hard work planning and carrying out this enriching program.”
