The Teaneck Community Chorus is excited to announce auditions for Teaneck Teen Idol’s 10th Anniversary Contest. Open to all teens 13 to 18 years old who are living or going to school in Teaneck, the Teen Idol contest has been delighting performers and audiences alike for a decade. Auditions will take place at Teaneck High School from 4 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday, November 15 and 16. Auditioners will meet in room 244 (chorus room) and sing a song of their choice, a cappella, for two minutes.
New auditioners are encouraged to try out. Approximately 12 to 15 semi-finalists will be chosen. Each will receive vocal and performance coaching from two highly accomplished musicians. “This year’s show is on January 21 at Teaneck High School,” said Jack Aaker, co-producer of the contest. “The top three winners will receive cash prizes and the Teaneck Teen Idol has the opportunity to record at a leading recording studio.”
Any Teaneck teen who auditions should bring proof of age, residency or school attendance and a $5 registration fee. More information is available at TeaneckCommunityChorus.org and on Facebook. For questions, call 201-390-8683 or email [email protected].
