In honor of Parshat Vayera, early childhood friends had a surprise visit from Avraham Avinu and Sarah Imeinu, who looked uncannily like Rabbi Zucker and Morah Jessica! They spoke to the students about the important mitzvah of hachnasat orchim, or welcoming guests into one’s home. If anyone would know about that mitzvah, after all, it’s Avraham and Sarah.

Following a story and some songs, Sarah distributed some cookies she had “freshly baked.” The children also had the opportunity to wish Avraham a refuah sheleima. Students loved their surprise guests and got a great lesson in the weekly parsha.
