Ayeka Receives Grant to Expand Programming in Jewish Schools Across the US

(Courtesy of Ayeka) Jerusalem—Ayeka: The Center for Soulful Education announced that it has received a four-year major grant from the Jim Joseph Foundation to expand Ayeka’s groundbreaking Soulful Professional Development program in Jewish day schools in North America. The grant is one of several recently awarded by the Jim Joseph Foundation as part of its Jewish Educator Professional Development Initiative.

Ayeka will train Judaic Studies teachers in up to eight day schools across North America to implement its paradigm-shifting Soulful Education pedagogy in their classrooms, as well as to coach colleagues in their schools in Ayeka’s methodology. The multi-year program will include retreats, on-site coaching sessions, individual mentoring and webinars for staff, as well as for the administrations of the selected day schools.

This major grant from the Jim Joseph Foundation follows other grants recently received by Ayeka, including from the AVI CHAI, Kohelet and Mayberg Foundations, to expand its Soulful Educational Programming in Jewish day schools in Jewish communities throughout the US.

Ayeka has issued a Request for Applications (RFA) from Jewish day schools interested in participating in this exciting foundation-funded venture to introduce Ayeka’s Soulful Education methodology into their Judaic Studies programs. The deadline for submitting an application is December 12. Interested schools should schedule a preliminary conversation with Ayeka’s director, Aryeh Ben David, by emailing him at [email protected]. Schools that are accepted into the program will be notified by January 15.
