Bais Medrash of Bergenfield Celebrates 50+ New Families

(Courtesy of BMOB) On Motzei Shabbat, February 19, the members of Bais Medrash of Bergenfield (BMOB) came out in large numbers to their Sisterhoods annual Meet the Members dinner. This was the first social event since the building’s inauguration in December.

Rabbi Moshe Stavsky, morah d’asrah of BMOB, started off the evening by thanking BMOB’s Sisterhood presidents Chana Lipener and Miriam Chouake for coordinating the entire event. Gratitude also went to the welcoming committee and to Avi Levenbrown from Madison Caterers for catering the evening with a delicious meat buffet dinner. Eric Wilzig, an award-winning illusionist, who is known for his performance on “America’s Got Talent” and Live with Jimmy Fallon, captivated the entire room. There were also over 25 raffle prizes from local establishments in Bergen County, who were very supportive of the event.

BMOB has seen a surge in membership in the past year, attracting over 50 new families. The event was a great opportunity to welcome new members and for them to meet and socialize with seasoned members from the shul. Member Chaya Lipener shared, “Now that there is room for our growing thriving community, it was really special to have everyone socializing together in our beautiful new social hall. It adds so much to the unity and cohesion that is fundamental to BMOB as we continue to grow our membership. Everyone had a fantastic time!”
