Bais Menachem of Teaneck Welcomes BourbonRabbi

(Courtesy of Bais Menachem of Teaneck) Bais Menachem of Teaneck recently welcomed back Kentucky’s BourbonRabbi at its “Far-Bourbon-Que” tasting event, an evening of great food, spirits, camaraderie and education that exceeded expectations in all areas.

The BourbonRabbi, Chaim Litvin, took the sellout crowd of over 50 attendees on a historical journey from the beginnings of bourbon in America to the modern-day infatuation while making pit stops along the way with everyone to enjoy a l’chaim on each of the eight uniquely selected bottles of bourbon (three of which are the rabbi’s own brand).

He captivated the crowd, discussing various fascinating topics like the Jewish impact on the whisky business from the early 1900s through Prohibition, the bourbon making process and its intricacies, the kosher variables and supervision process, and more. Bais Menachem looks forward to welcoming him back for additional events in the future. L’chaim!
