Bal Harbour has always been a special place to live.
Incorporated in 1946, it is home to the rich and famous. With 3,044 oceanfront condominiums and 299 houses in the village of Bal Harbour, new construction is booming! There are over 20 new houses that have been built within the last 12 months or are coming within the next 18 months. The “Village” is located just one short block from the Young Israel of Bal Harbour and the world-famous Shul of Bal Harbour. The shul was completed in 1995 at a cost of close to $20 million and is in the process of doubling in size! The expansion includes plans for a catering hall for 700 people and more classrooms for its children’s school. The Young Israel of Bal Harbour was completed in 2015 at a cost of $12 million. With all the woodwork from Kibbutz Lavi done in white maple and the stained glass windows by Jeremy Langford, it takes one’s breath away!
Also, the Village is walking distance to 10 of the best kosher restaurants in South Florida. The newest restaurant to open is La Mesa, meaning “the table.” They just opened on November 15, and besides their regular restaurant hours, they are taking reservations for private parties and Friday-night Shabbat dinners. Kosh and Backyard BBQ also offer Friday-night dinner reservations in addition to their regular restaurant hours.
The Village is a special place to live. It is a gated community and located just adjacent to the world-famous “Shops of Bal Harbour.” The Shops of Bal Harbour were recently approved to expand by 74 percent.
Additionally, the “Village” has its own private marina with 40 slips that is able to accommodate mega yachts up to 165’. Even if one doesn’t own a yacht, having an exclusive marina in one’s backyard certainly adds to the aura and exclusivity of the community! Besides, you know what they say—“Better than owning a yacht is having a friend that owns one!”
There are presently 11 houses for sale (new & resale) ranging in price from $3.3 million to $19 million. This comes out to between $725/sf to $2,165/sf. New-construction houses range in price from $5 million to $36 million. The variables to consider are age of the house, whether new construction, lot size, waterfront or dry lot and if waterfront, wide bay or canal views.
For those looking to build their own custom house, there are still a few special opportunities.
One last feature/benefit to the Village is the “pop up” Friday night minyanim!
You’ve worked hard, now is your time! Welcome to paradise!
