In last week’s paper, we ran an article about a beautiful chesed performed by Rabbi Sholom Bogomilsky of the Maplewood Jewish Center (“MJC’s Rabbi Bogomilsky Goes Above And Beyond for His Congregants,” December 12, 2019). Rabbi Bogomilsky quietly raised the funds to present Jeff Kingsley, a congregant with ALS, with a van equipped with a handicapped-accessible ramp and other assistive technology.

Jeff was so appreciative of this chesed, and grateful that he was able to publicly thank his rabbi through the venue of our paper.

We just learned that a mere three days after the article was published, Jeff Kingsley, z”l, passed away.

We at The Jewish Link extend birkat tanchumim to Jeff’s family and friends. May the family be comforted among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.
