The Bergen County High School of Jewish Studies recently held closing exercises. Students received awards as “outstanding students” if they were so named by at least four of their six teachers.

The eighth graders who received awards were Sarah Renee Bakal, Sabrina Burns, Jillian Heit, Isabel Kossoy and Lillie Vaks.

Ninth graders who received awards were Caroline Grossman, Emma Matthews, Sam Pitchkadze, Sara Skobac, Abby Stern, Julia Vertlyb, Ilana Whittaker and Maggie Winick.

Tenth graders who received awards were Eila Brown, Sabrina Fried, Miri Goodman, Dasi Grimaldi, Julia Holzsager, Brianna Leopold, William Milun, Abigail Pomeranz, Annabelle Simhon and Leo Strizhevsky.

Rebecca Brandon was the eleventh grade award recipient.

Seniors will receive their awards at graduation.
