On Sunday, September 8, new eighth grade students attended orientation and registration at the Bergen County High School of Jewish Studies (BCHSJS). After several ice-breakers in which students got to meet each other and have a quick snack, the students, together with their teacher and the principal, boarded a bus for an afternoon of bowling at Bowler City in Hackensack.
The Bergen County High School of Jewish Studies is a regional Hebrew High School for students in grades eight through 12. In addition to weekly classes, there are social activities, community service opportunities and shabbatonim. Registration is still open.
