Fred Nagler, principal/director of the Bergen County High School of Jewish Studies recently attended the Jewish Teen Education and Engagement Network (JTEEN) conference in Houston, Texas. The theme of the conference was Learn, Innovate and Create Opportunity. Among the sessions were “Gen-Xers as Parents: Why Those Parents Are So Difficult”; “Digital Addiction; What You Need to Know”; “Keeping the Conversation Civil; Talking About Israel in a Political Divisive Time” and a presentation of “Gen Z Now: Understanding and Connecting with Jewish Teens Today”—a glimpse of the report which the Jewish Education Project will release shortly. Each day began with text study with a member of Pardes.
