BCHSJS Students Visit One World Observatory

Students at the Bergen County High School of Jewish Studies took a trip to One World Observatory. During the 47 second elevator ride to the 102nd floor, students watched the visual transformation of New York City along the walls of the elevator from the 1500s to present day. They then watched a video presentation in the See Forever Theater which ended with the reveal of the skyline view of New York. Unfortunately, it was a rainy day so there was limited visibility. The students did enjoy using special IPads that gave them information about the various sites around the city. They also stood on the Sky Portal which gave them the view of the city directly below their feet. The students also heard a presentation from a guide all the different parts of the city. The students ended their trip by visiting the 9/11 memorial pools at Ground Zero.
