When Jewish youth explore their Jewish culture and values, and are encouraged to challenge themselves and others, they begin a lifetime of belonging.
This is the mission at BCHSJS, a supplemental Sunday school program for Jewish teens of all denominations. Teens come from 18 different schools from all over Bergen County and meet weekly to learn together and from each other.
Despite the challenges of 2020, this year has been no different. BCHSJS teens have come together to participate in classes, extra-curricular trips and activities, clubs and more. Students have two avenues to connect: either in person or in online specific classes. Both tracks offer community in a moment where community is elusive and time to connect to other Jewish teens is harder than ever.
The next semester begins on Sunday, February 7, and the school welcomes any teens looking for a place to connect.
