Bear Den Visits Englewood Police and Fire Departments

The cub scouts of the Bear Den of Pack 613 visited the Englewood Police Department and Fire Department to complete their Paws for Action requirement. The scouts met with several officers at the police department, and met with a police detective who showed the scouts methods of collecting different types of evidence, and also gave them valuable information about safety measures at home and in public. The scouts then got to spend part of the afternoon with the firefighters who modeled the gear they wear when responding to calls—all 100 pounds of it! The visit ended with a detailed tour of the various fire engines. This meeting helped the scouts earn their Paws for Action belt loops. Congratulations to them!
