Begin-Sadat Center Head to Speak at Teaneck Jewish Center

David M. Weinberg, director of public af­fairs at the Israeli think-tank, the Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies, who also heads the Israel Office of Canada’s Center for Israel and Jewish Affairs will be speaking at the Te­aneck Jewish Center at 70 Sterling Place this Shabbat.

Since moving to Israel in 1990 from To­ronto, Weinberg, who is a columnist for the Jerusalem Post, has held a series of high-lev­el public sector positions. He has been a sen­ior adviser to Deputy Prime Minister Natan Sharansky, coordinator of the Global Forum against Antisemitism in the Prime Minister’s Office, and spokesman for Bar-Ilan University, among other positions.

He will speak twice. At approximately 11:00 a.m., Weinberg will discuss “Awakening: The Zionist Spring in a Changed Middle East” and at 6:45 p.m., an hour before Minchah, he will talk about “Reforming the Haredi Com­munity in Israel and Healing Israel.”
