After learning in parshat Chayei Sarah, about how Rivka Imeinu used a well to get the water for Eliezer and his camels, the kindergartners were intrigued by the concept of where we get water and the process in which it gets to our homes. First, the children investigated what a water source is and then, they experimented with rock and soil to see how wells fill with water. They even created their very own wells out of clay and blocks! They learned about a plumber and how he uses various tools to measure, cut and place the pipes and vents so that the water can flow through the building. They explored how water moves through the pipes through the use of PVC pipes, as well as through our marble mazes.
