Ben Porat Yosef’s Sixth Graders Enjoy Chesed and Team Building

BPY’s sixth grade students took an extended day trip to Ring Homestead and Tomchei Shabbos of Rockland County. This trip was meant for students to bond as a grade amid fun team-building activities, give back to the greater community and set the tone for their middle school years at BPY.

Students enjoyed the ropes course, zip-lining and “trust-building-style” exercises at Ring Homestead that fostered close connections with their peers in a healthy outlet. Their participation in packaging food for needy families for Tomchei Shabbos of Rockland County was also an important chesed project that brought them closer together. They returned to BPY tired, yet fulfilled by the day, and enjoyed a delicious dinner together before heading back home.
